Dear Banker,

 

Mark your calendars! The Bluegrass Community Bankers Association will be holding its 19th Annual Convention beginning on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Lexington Hilton Downtown in Lexington. In the coming weeks, you will receive a packet detailing the timeline of the events during the Annual Convention. I encourage you to attend, along with any key personnel at your Bank and your Board of Directors. If you have attended in past years, you have witnessed the growth of this event. We fully expect this growth to continue and sincerely hope that you will be a part of its success.

 

For the past several years, we have held a Silent Auction fundraiser during the annual banquet. The auction will begin, along with a cocktail reception, at 5:00pm prior to the annual banquet on the evening of Monday, August 22nd . The money raised during the auction is used to fund scholarships for individuals to attend banking schools and educational programs designed specifically for Community Bankers. For this reason, we have always felt that the auction is a vital component of the Convention and hope that you will help us meet our goal of raising $10,000 this year.

 

There are two ways in which you can participate and support this event. First, you can provide a gift and/or item to be auctioned that represents, or is specific, to your Bank and/or community. In lieu of a gift, you may also make a monetary donation. Second, you can attend and participate in the bidding at the silent auction. Enclosed, you will find information pertaining to suggested silent auction gift ideas as well as a Donor Information Form for your convenience. If you are interested in supporting the auction, please fill out the Donor Information Form, including a contact name in case there is need for follow-up as the Convention draws near.

The Bluegrass Community Bankers Association represents our small, hometown Community Banks in Kentucky. The BCBA is certainly a perfect fit for my bank, Bank of the Mountains, and we hope that you feel the same.
